This Sunday I’ll be at the Huntington Woods Library to host an author event with my dear friend Amanda Uhle, who has just written “Destroy This House,” a memoir like no other! At times heartbreaking, surreal, hilarious and tragic, Amanda’s astonishing book reminds me of a David Lynch film. It’s a vivid tale of living with parents who make strange and self-defeating choices; parents who Amanda herself describes as complicated, loving and weird. I’ll be in conversation with Amanda beginning at 2 p.m. on November 16th, and books will be available for sale and signing at the end of the event. Hope to see you there!
