Guitarist JD McPherson has been the opening act and bandleader for three successive Robert Plant & Alison Krauss tours, and he’s just released the new studio recording “Nite Owls,” which I’ll have in the album spotlight on Fine Tuning this Sunday. You can see JD McPherson in support of his terrific new album next Wednesday, October 9th when he plays at The Magic Bag in Ferndale. Also in the mix on Fine Tuning will be a tribute to legendary singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson, who passed away on September 28th at the age of 88, plus new music by Kim Deal, the MC5, Dawes and Bryan Ferry.
